Colorectal cancer

Preclinical colorectal cancer models for in vivo studies of primary tumor progression, metastatic spread and therapeutic response.

Preclinical colorectal cancer model overview

Our colorectal cancer models provide an in vivo platform for studying primary tumor progression and metastatic spread to distant organs, including the liver and lungs. Longitudinal assessment of disease progression and therapeutic response supports evaluation of drug activity and PK/PD throughout preclinical studies.

About our colorectal cancer model

Our orthotopic colorectal cancer model is established by transplanting cancer cells directly into the colon, enabling primary tumor growth and metastatic progression to be studied within the relevant anatomical environment. Longitudinal monitoring allows tumor development, metastatic spread and therapeutic response to be followed throughout the study.

In addition to tumor transplantation models, IVRS offers models of chronic intestinal inflammation to investigate inflammation-driven colorectal cancer development. These models enable the progression from chronic inflammation to tumor formation to be studied in vivo and provide a platform for evaluating therapeutic interventions at different stages of disease development.
